HISTORY

When Mas i Mas took over Jamboree and Tarantos in May 1993, both halls regained the spirit with which this legendary space had opened its doors more than half a century ago: to make dance and live music coexist in perfect harmony. Since then, we are both a jazz & flamenco club live as a disco or, what is the same, two places where you can enjoy different passes of good concerts and, without changing places, dance to the rhythm of the best selection of r'n'b, hip-hop, dancehall or the best rock-indie music that can be heard today in Barcelona. For something we were pioneers in the city in presenting an offer designed for all those who wish to dance and at the same time enjoy the magnetic force of black music - on the Jamboree track - and alternative rock - on the Tarantos Club track, at which is accessed by an internal staircase-.

We open from Monday to Sunday, from midnight to five in the morning - six in the morning on Fridays, Saturdays and the eve of holidays - and we have a heterogeneous clientele, made up of both locals and visitors from all over Europe, ages between 20 and 35, in the Jamboree, and up to 45 years in the Tarantos. We are in the center of Barcelona -in the Plaza Real-, a few steps from the Rambla and the Liceu metro station.

Two rooms per-maximum-€ 10, with the best DJs in the city.

The dance floors of Jamboree dance club and Tarantos club are open, without exception, 365 days a year. In addition, we have a staff of resident DJs from the category of the best clubs in Europe.

At the Jamboree dance club, lovers of hip-hop, funk or soul can move to the rhythm of DJ Yoda's dishes, a benchmark in the sector, which has shared the stage with figures from the North American tracks of the likes of magnificent jazzy jeff, Maseo (De La Soul), Guru Jazzmataz, Premier, ... Flavio Rodríguez, a specialist in the r'n'b scene with a remarkable career also as a singer; Dj Eley a classic and resident in our master room of dancehall and hip-hop. Mastie, one of the usual DJs in the room, or the always surprising Muly. We also have the Dj's residence of the likes of Dj Pol 24 Kts and Dj Kunta K.

It is worth noting on Thursdays at Jamboree that after more than five years our BcnOrDie party has been consolidated as an event to be attended in the city, piloted by our residents Dj Yoda and Flavio Rodriguez and since 2019 with the collaboration of Loli Zazou, they make Thursdays in a mandatory visit which has a more urban concept where you will find artists, deejays and producers of Old school and new trends such as Steve Lean, Mc Buseta, Maseo ... BcnOrDie gives Thursdays the version of the Barcelona scoundrel

For its part, Tarantos Club that just turned 5 years old as an indie pop rock club and consolidating the hall with its own identity, is piloted by our resident Kerito-, the incombustible Joe Cabana emblematic Dj with such a broad musical range of genres. diverse that it is impossible to know in which you will be surprised every time since it does not stop to reinvent itself, leader in the formations serial killerzs, colossvs and diplomathics,, Bulma Beat -that has stirred the hall tracks with their residences in Apolo, Boulevard and ultrapop, Take the knobs on Wednesday at a new event # ILOVE89 S best of 80s & 90s

Hal9000 – 2006 was the year in which began the Odyssey for Hal9000; where he started playing at BeCool, legal deposit or Club Fantastico. From the most dirty guitars, to the Britpop sound, through the Indie strongest in electronics today. It is difficult to appear indifferent to their sessions. Glass Hat – God bless those of heretical tastes. Somewhere between musician, disc spinner and showman, DJ Glass Hat is one of the healthiest vaccines against uniformity and the snobbish reductionism that too often poisons our city’s nightlife. Because, in a world that so slavishly follows the latest trends, it’s essential to have a character like Glass Hat. Uninhibited and extremely broadminded, he draws art from the mundane and makes his sessions a celebration of the popular music of the sixties, seventies, eighties and nineties and styles like pop, rock, indie, house, dance, nu disco, new wave and lounge in harmonious coexistence. On Tuesday nights, guitars and electronica will love one another.

Bulma Beat - Wednesday nights will be entrusted to one of the best-loved DJs in the country, particularly linked with the Mas i Mas group since he began spinning discs at the Moog, recovering the legendary hits of the eighties to shape the character of the Villarosa club. Since then he has remained on the city’s club scene without becoming pigeonholed in any one musical style, committed to the most eclectic sounds – from those of the seventies to R&B, rock, pop, house, nu disco, EDM and many others. His residencies at the Jamboree and Boulevard venues are notorious, but he has also been heard at the legendary Cupcake parties at the Apolo – which became big Thursday attractions on the Barcelona scene – at City Hall, the Sidecar, Otto Zutz or the Ocaña, among many, many others.

DJ Kerito – Since he arrived in Barcelona some years ago, DJ Kerito has not wavered in his intention to transmit his love for music to all mortals. His main motivation is to see people enjoying the dancefloor, mercilessly getting them moving with the best indie tunes, the most psychedelic sixties’ and seventies’ rock, the electronic and dance hits of the eighties or the great songs left to us by the nineties and noughties. After successful stints at La [2] at the Apolo, Sidecar, Fantástico, Plástico, Minusa... it’s now the turn of the Tarantos Club!

Joe Cabana – Thursdays will be led by Joe Cabana, a DJ in the booth with a range of genres so diverse that it’s impossible to know what he’s going to surprise us with next. That’s why he hides behind several aliases, like The Diplomatics and Pink Doves, allowing him to give free rein to his imagination with the liberty to reinvent himself continuously, combining his most classical and avant-garde facets. His long career include 3 LPs as a DJ and keyboard player with the group O.S.D., management of various radio shows and programming and artistic direction for various clubs, such as Liquid and La Boîte Barcelona. One of the greats.
